Ooredoo Palestine Announces Its Financial Results for the First Quarter of 2026

SadaNews Economy - Ooredoo Palestine announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. According to the financial disclosure statement issued by the company, revenues reached 28.6 million USD, achieving a growth of 11% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, operating profits before deducting taxes, interest, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to approximately 11 million USD, reflecting a 14% increase from the previous year. Conversely, net profits stood at 2.7 million USD, affected by non-recurring non-operating expenses, while the number of subscribers reached about 1.532 million by the end of the first quarter.

These results come amid ongoing political and economic challenges facing Palestine and the region, foremost among them the repercussions of the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, which impose direct pressures on the business environment and various economic sectors.

Commenting on these results, the CEO of Ooredoo Palestine, Dr. Samer Faris, said, "The results for the first quarter of 2026 reflect our ability to achieve revenue growth and enhance operational performance, in line with our strategic vision, especially after completing the amortization of accumulated losses during the first quarter, which will positively impact shareholder returns, despite the ongoing complex conditions in the Palestinian market."

Dr. Faris added, "We continue our preparations for launching 4G services as a strategic step to accelerate digital transformation in Palestine, enhancing service quality and supporting economic growth, enabling individuals and businesses to access more efficient digital solutions."

Dr. Faris further noted that the company’s teams continue to work under exceptional circumstances to maintain the continuity of communication services, especially in the Gaza Strip, stemming from their national responsibility and belief in the importance of keeping the Palestinian people in constant contact with the world, while confirming that the company continues to develop its infrastructure and enhance the readiness of its network, ensuring a transition to a new phase of communication services.

Dr. Faris pointed out the company's ongoing commitment to the community, as it continued implementing several community initiatives during the first quarter of the year, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, to support affected groups and bolster the resilience of the Palestinian people under current conditions. He affirmed that despite the challenges, the company will continue to work under a clear vision based on sustainability and growth, with a focus on innovation and investment in modern technologies, which enhances Ooredoo Palestine's position as a key partner in supporting the national economy and meeting the aspirations of subscribers and shareholders.
