Jordan Bank Renews Its Membership in the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute by Supporting Its Various Programs

SadaNews - Jordan Bank announced the renewal of its membership in the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute for the year 2026 by providing generous support for its developmental and humanitarian programs, believing in the important role of the institute and the impact of its interventions on the Palestinian people in the West Bank including Jerusalem, Gaza Strip, within the territories of 1948, and in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

This new support comes within the framework of Jordan Bank’s vision aimed at contributing to achieving sustainable development and enhancing the resilience of the Palestinian community, through a strategic partnership extended with the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute since 2013, which included supporting its various developmental and humanitarian programs, as well as contributing to the annual fundraising for the institute that goes to projects empowering women and youth.

The CEO of Jordan Bank in Palestine, Saif Issa, confirmed that the renewal of the bank's membership in the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute is a continuation of the support and partnership over the past years, stemming from its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, within a strategy focused on meeting the basic needs of the Palestinian community and enhancing the elements of sustainable development.

He added that Jordan Bank is keen on maintaining communication with various segments of society, and supporting programs and initiatives that have a tangible positive impact, praising the vital role played by the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute in empowering women and youth, preserving heritage and national identity, promoting culture, as well as implementing educational and developmental programs and rehabilitating old towns, in addition to its relief and humanitarian role, especially in the Gaza Strip.

For his part, the General Director of the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute, Dr. Tarek Amteira, expressed his pride in the ongoing partnership with Jordan Bank, appreciating the bank’s qualitative contributions to supporting the institute’s programs.

He affirmed the importance of the private sector's role in empowering the work of the institute, noting that the annual support provided by Jordan Bank is considered unconditional support, which gives the institute greater flexibility in planning and implementing innovative programs that meet the needs of Palestinians in various locations.

Jordan Bank is one of the first banking institutions to begin its work in Palestine after 1994, providing advanced banking services aimed at a wide range of sectors, and contributing to supporting and enhancing local economic growth. The bank also continues to fulfill its community role by supporting relief and humanitarian projects and sustainable development initiatives.

It is noteworthy that the Palestinian Philanthropy Institute is a non-profit civil institution established in Geneva in 1983 at the initiative of a group of Palestinian and Arab economic and intellectual figures, and has now become one of the leading developmental institutions operating in Palestine and the refugee camps in Lebanon. Its programs reach more than one million beneficiaries annually, half of whom are women, while its investments since its establishment have exceeded 1 billion US dollars in the fields of development and relief.
