Police and security forces deal with explosive device under vehicle in Qalqilya

SadaNews - The media spokesperson for the police, Major Louay Arzeqat, stated that the police and security forces dealt with an explosive device attached under a vehicle in a parking lot in the city of Qalqilya early Saturday morning.

Arzeqat added that police patrols and security forces moved immediately upon receiving the report to the location, imposed a security cordon, isolated the area, and evacuated vehicles and citizens to ensure their safety.

He explained that the bomb disposal teams from the police arrived at the site, and after conducting a technical inspection, it was found that the suspicious object was an active explosive device. The team was able to safely handle and neutralize it according to established technical procedures.

He confirmed that the General Investigations and the forensic evidence team along with security forces continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
