Bono's Glove Not Enough... Mbappe and Dembele's Double Ends Morocco's Dream in the World Cup

SadaNews - Morocco conceded two goals in the second half, losing 2-0 to France, and exited the World Cup in the quarter-finals, on the night of Thursday to Friday.

Morocco failed to replicate its achievement from the last World Cup, when it became the first Arab and African team to reach the semifinals, finishing the tournament in fourth place.

After Yassine Bono saved a penalty taken by Kylian Mbappe in the 28th minute, the Moroccan goalkeeper could not stop the French captain's shot an hour into the game, opening the scoring.

Just six minutes later, Mbappe assisted Ousmane Dembele, who found the net with a low shot.

France will play a semifinal match on Tuesday in Dallas and will await the winner of the match between Spain and Belgium scheduled for Friday.
