Fatah Revolutionary Council Elects Jamal Al-Shoubki as Secretary
SadaNews - The Fatah Revolutionary Council elected Jamal Al-Shoubki as Secretary tonight, Thursday, by a majority of votes.
Aisha Al-Kurd and Antoine Salman were elected as deputies to the Secretary.
Ali Abu Diak was elected as head of the movement's court, while Yasser Abu Bakr was elected as head of the movement's oversight committee, and Wafa Zakarneh as head of financial oversight.
The Revolutionary Council held a special session tonight in Ramallah, attended by President Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of Fatah.
President Abbas emphasized the importance of Fatah's unity, maintaining its strength, and adhering to its decisions, considering the recent elections of the movement as a representation of Fatah's strength, the Palestinian people, and the choice of democracy.
Recently, Fatah held its eighth general conference, from which the Central Committee and the Revolutionary Council were elected.
