Tulkarm: The Occupation Notifies of Seizing 30 Dunams of Land from Shufa and Kafr al-Labd
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities notified today, Wednesday, about the seizure of areas of land from the villages of Shufa and Kafr al-Labd in Tulkarm Governorate, under the pretext of military purposes.
According to the notification received by the village council in Shufa, the decision targets the seizure of a total of 29.973 dunams of land, located within plot number (2) in sites from the villages of Shufa and Kafr al-Labd, and includes: Dirban, Hafasi, Rakbat Hamad, Wadi al-Nimr, Wadi Issa land, Bir Salim settlement, Khillat al-Sheikh, the houses, and Al-Aqda.
The lands in the Dirban area are considered among the most threatened areas by colonization, as the occupation has seized large areas of them to establish a colonial outpost affiliated with the "Avnei Hifetz" settlement, which has been built on the lands of the villages of Kafr al-Labd, Shufa, and Khirbat Hafasi since 1987.
This assault comes in the context of escalating Israeli policies aimed at seizing more Palestinian lands in Tulkarm Governorate, especially in the southern and eastern regions, amid fears of exploiting military orders to expand colonial projects and the associated infrastructure at the expense of agricultural lands and the property of citizens.
