Israel Accuses Lebanese Army Chief of Collaborating with Hezbollah

SadaNews Translation - An Israeli official claimed on Thursday evening that Lebanese Army Chief Rudolf Haykal is collaborating with Hezbollah, and a message regarding this has been conveyed to the United States in recent days.

According to the Hebrew Channel Reshet Kan, citing the same official, there are concerns that the information Israel transmits to the Lebanese Army through the Americans may reach Hezbollah directly.

The official stated: General Haykal is fully cooperating with Hezbollah and is preventing the Lebanese Army from implementing the decisions of the government and President Aoun against Hezbollah.

 

It is noteworthy that another meeting is scheduled to be held in Washington in about three weeks between representatives of the Israeli and Lebanese armies, where Israel will demand that the Lebanese Army act against Hezbollah in villages outside the Israeli security area to assess seriousness before the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces.
