Iran Executes Two Men on Charges of Espionage for Israel
SadaNews - Iranian media reported that Tehran executed two men today (Saturday) on charges of espionage for Israel, with one of them also accused of gathering intelligence near the Natanz nuclear site in Isfahan, central Iran, according to Reuters.
The media quoted the judiciary as saying that Yaqub Karim Pour and Nasir Bakrazadeh were hanged after being convicted of espionage collaboration with Israel and the Mossad.
It added that Karim Pour leaked sensitive information to a Mossad officer, while Bakrazadeh was accused of gathering information about government and religious figures, and key locations, including in the Natanz area.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a statement last Wednesday that since the outbreak of the war with the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28, "at least nine people have been executed in connection with the protests that occurred in January 2026, ten people suspected of belonging to opposition groups have been executed, and two on charges of espionage."
