Iranian Drones for Hezbollah.. Operate with Fiber Optics and Range Exceeds 10 km
SadaNews: An Israeli newspaper "Ma'ariv" reported, citing estimates from the Israeli military establishment, that Iran has developed and produced hundreds, if not thousands, of drones for Hezbollah.
The newspaper clarified that these drones are operated using fiber optic technology, employing a cable that connects them to the operator, which makes them less susceptible to interception or jamming.
It added that this closed system has made it difficult for the Israeli army to intercept them, contributing to injuries among its forces during operations.
It noted that this type has been used intensively in ground operations, as part of a tactic that relies on remote strikes and avoiding direct confrontation.
It indicated that the range of these drones exceeds 10 kilometers, contrary to previous estimates which suggested a range of no more than two kilometers.
