Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces: Confronting the Occupation's Schemes with Popular Political Will and Field Unity that Strengthens Citizens' Resilience
SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces of Ramallah and Al-Bireh affirmed the importance of revitalizing the factors of resilience and internal cohesion to thwart the occupation's plans to plunder and seize land through a series of racist measures and laws by the extremist government aimed at ethnically cleansing the land and displacing the Palestinian people. They confirmed that the political and popular will of our people, along with its integration, could prevent the implementation of the occupation scheme through a militant field unity that safeguards the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people over decades of national work and the battles fought by our people and continue to be fought today. This requires uniting everyone in a critically dangerous phase in which the Zionist movement aims to liquidate the national cause with direct and clear support and partnership from the American administration.
They also affirmed that the attempts to detach the Gaza Strip from the West Bank under names and committees that are devoid of any content related to restoring the geographical and political connection between the West Bank and Gaza are a result of these plans aimed at undermining the national rights of the Palestinian people, sponsored by the president of the so-called "Peace Council" Donald Trump. They emphasized their rejection of any harm to the unity of national representation under any pretext and the importance of maintaining the Palestine Liberation Organization as a broad front that represents the Palestinian people in all places of their presence. They also rejected the transformation of these rights into humanitarian issues, oblivious to economic support, and called for serious, tangible steps in this regard to confront attempts to sidestep the legitimate bodies of the Palestinian people and bypass their role.
They stressed that the daily aggression that is taking place represents an unprecedented qualitative shift in the size and role of extremist gangs of settlers who wreak havoc in our land, towns, and villages. What is happening in the villages of eastern Ramallah and Al-Bireh falls within the framework of this brutal scheme to force people to leave their land at the same time that the right of return is being targeted and dismantling the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Additionally, what is happening in Jerusalem during the blessed month of Ramadan, including movement and worship restrictions, attacks on citizens, and preventing them from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque, further isolates Jerusalem from its surroundings. The enactment of death penalty laws against prisoners, the increased level of repression, torture, and medical neglect in a ferocious campaign led by extremist Ben Gvir and his gang directly targets the most basic rights guaranteed by international conventions and norms, which requires expanding popular mobilization in support of the prisoners and the lives of detainees.
The forces called on the United Nations and its institutions to work to stop the gross violations practiced by the occupation state against our people and to provide immediate international protection, alongside effective steps to enforce international law regarding the crimes of the occupation, including genocide, ethnic cleansing, and the ongoing daily killing of our people. They also called for a serious stand to hold the occupying state accountable and ensure its end from the lands of the State of Palestine recognized by the world.
They urged support for the forces and towns with the elements of resilience and held official, communal, and private sector institutions responsible toward vulnerable groups and impoverished families, providing all forms of support for citizens to remain on their land, and supporting the Bedouin communities that are subjected to daily displacement. The forces affirmed that the difficult conditions faced by the Palestinian people will inevitably lead to greater resistance and determination to confront and establish a presence on Palestinian land. The alternative will not be the displacement of our people; rather, it will lead to the inevitable outcome of the end of occupation and the realization of legitimate national rights in return, self-determination, and national independence.
