SadaNews - English player Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United tops the list of the fastest players during the current season of the UEFA Champions League football competition (2025-2026).
Gordon (24 years old) recorded a maximum speed of 37.92 kilometers per hour during one of the tournament matches, according to a statistic prepared by the data collection and processing company "Gradient", which specializes in data related to speed, distances covered, and physical performance, and published by the Football Observatory affiliated with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES).
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, star of Paris Saint-Germain, secured his place in this distinguished list, coming in third. He is the only Arab player among the top ten, which includes four players from the Premier League and two from Real Madrid, the most notable of whom is Kylian Mbappé.
The list also included a player from a lesser-known team, Ghanaian Emmanuel Ade, a winger for Qarabağ competing in the Azerbaijan League.

In this expanded list, the names of the two Arab stars, Algerian Rayan Aït Nouri and Egyptian Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, stood out, having recorded maximum speeds of 34.49 and 33.06 kilometers per hour, respectively.
