What Did Nevin Mandour Say About Her Husband Before Her Passing?
SadaNews - A major shock hit the Egyptian artistic community with the announcement of the passing of Egyptian actress Nevin Mandour following a fire that broke out in her home in Alexandria Governorate.
The star of the film "Elly Bali Balak" left this world at the age of 53 due to suffocation from the fire and was unable to escape.
Despite her very limited participation in works, Nevin Mandour emerged in 2003 through the film "Elly Bali Balak" and then participated two years later in the series "Rag'alaak Ya Alexandria" alongside actor Khaled Nabawy, but she disappeared for 17 years.
In her last television interview before her passing, Nevin Mandour spoke on the program "Kalem Alnas," which airs on "MBC Masr," confirming that her absence following her great success in the film "Elly Bali Balak" was due to her mother's illness, as she did not want to leave her alone. Her mother passed away after several years.
When she thought about returning, her father rejected the idea and advised her not to return to acting, and she did not take any serious steps regarding that matter.
In the interview, Nevin Mandour talked about the love story she lived with her husband, revealing that she loved her husband for 23 years. When he initially expressed his love, he told her that he loved her but could not marry her.
He took her as a friend and dubbed her "Abu Ali" due to her gallantry and support for him, while he married another woman and remained friends with Nevin Mandour, who was allowed to contact him by phone with his wife's knowledge.
The duo remained this way for years until he faced crises with his wife. Nevin Mandour surprised him by saying, "Why don’t we get married?" He immediately agreed and took her as a second wife for two months, after which he divorced his first wife and stayed with Nevin Mandour.
Nevin Mandour also discussed the crisis she faced years ago when it was announced that she was arrested for drug use, confirming that it was intended for her father, but she became the victim, indicating that she was acquitted from the very first moment and did not wish to talk about the matter.
Nevin Mandour did not have children, but during the interview, she spoke about her dream she had for years, where she thought about marrying and having a child with her husband, and then distancing herself with her child. However, she rejected implementing the idea due to its conflict with religion, and to avoid depriving the child of his father.
