Israel Decides Not to Expand Its Control Over Gaza, Washington Faces Difficulties in Forming an International Force

SadaNews Translation - The Hebrew Channel Reshet Kan reported this evening, Wednesday, that Israel has decided at this time not to expand its control over the Gaza Strip or move the yellow line.

The channel indicated, as translated by SadaNews, that the decision was made under American pressure, noting that it was reached during talks that took place last night between senior Israeli and American officials.

An Israeli senior official told the channel: At the moment we will not expand the area of our control on the ground, and we will wait longer.

Meanwhile, Channel 12 reported, according to SadaNews translation, that the decision made between Netanyahu and senior security officials was to work on expanding control in the sector to 70%, but after communications with the Americans, this idea was postponed.

The Reshet Kan channel mentioned in another report that tomorrow Hamas and the Red Cross may resume rounds to search for the bodies of Israelis if Hamas hands over the remains of two prisoners that were recovered yesterday.

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Washington is still facing difficulties in finding countries to participate in the international force to secure safety in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that several countries, most of them Arab nations, have rejected the American request for cooperation, one after another, out of fear of military confrontation with Hamas. According to SadaNews translation.

It pointed out that U.S. administration envoys, Steve Wittekov and Jared Kushner, are conducting talks behind the scenes with other countries in an effort to encourage them to send forces to Gaza as well as finance plans there, among these countries is Singapore, which was surprised by the American request.

The Americans requested the Asian country to send officers to Gaza, which has not yet decided whether to accept the request and is considering it.
