Hamza Namira Turns to Psychotherapy.. What’s the Reason?
SadaNews - Egyptian singer Hamza Namira experienced a tough ordeal due to his young son Tameem's illness when he was eight years old, which led him to seek psychotherapy.
Namira recounted the details of this ordeal in an interview with Egyptian media personality Mona El Shazly, where he confirmed that this experience caused him anxiety that he sought treatment for.
In detail, the artist's son suffered a sudden spike in temperature while the family was in London, so they headed to the hospital, but he was not given any antibiotics there.
Namira expressed during his talk that he wished his wife would not watch this episode, explaining that this experience was extremely bitter for her, while he sought psychotherapy to recover from its effects.
The Egyptian singer clarified that his child later received treatment, but the doctors discovered swelling in his hand, which made them suspect he might have another autoimmune disease called "Kawasaki," which must be treated within seven days of the onset of symptoms.
The child remained under observation to determine whether he was suffering from this disease or another illness, as he exhibited four out of seven symptoms characteristic of "Kawasaki."
This situation heightened the anxiety of Namira and his wife, and they insisted on the child receiving treatment for the "Kawasaki" disease, so that the seven days wouldn't pass and the treatment would become ineffective.
The child received a dose of immunotherapy, but his body reacted with an allergy to the treatment, causing him to tremble uncontrollably, which prompted his mother to scream, leading Hamza Namira to rush out to call the doctors. At that moment, the child began to cry, and his heart rate rose sharply, prompting the attending physician in the intensive care unit to come in, while the father tried to calm his son amidst his severe anxiety and stress.
The child received doses of medication to counteract the drug that caused his allergy, and his condition stabilized. The head physician then informed them that they would have to wait until the next day.
The next day, the doctors stopped administering treatment for "Kawasaki," and they have not yet clarified his condition regarding the autoimmune disease.
Hamza Namira expressed his hope that his son is not suffering from this disease, mentioning that he and his son resorted daily to religious healing for a year and a half.
