The Council of Ministers Calls for Translating International Positions into Practical Steps to Stop the War and Rebuild

SadaNews - Prime Minister Dr. Mohamed Mustafa emphasized the importance of the international momentum generated by the United Nations General Assembly meeting yesterday (Monday), along with the international conference on the two-state solution and the ongoing international recognitions of the State of Palestine. This will be followed by a meeting of the international coalition to embody the two-state solution and the donors' conference scheduled for next Thursday, which serves as an incentive for countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to expedite their recognition. He stressed that these international movements represent a practical commitment to the two-state solution and a clear rejection of the practices of settlement occupation and the serious violations in Gaza and the West Bank.

Additionally, in its weekly session today (Tuesday), the Council called to build on this international movement to be a real lever for enforcing the international will towards a comprehensive and final halt to the war and launching the reconstruction process, in line with the executive plans included in the New York Declaration, which outlines practical steps and a timeframe for embodying the Palestinian state.

The Council of Ministers also discussed the warning issued by the government operations room for emergency interventions in the southern governorates, due to a complete collapse of the basic service system and the cessation of work by relief and humanitarian institutions in Gaza, as a result of the catastrophic conditions under the ongoing genocide war. They called for urgent international humanitarian intervention to supply medical necessities and rehabilitate essential health facilities to save the lives of patients and the injured.

The Council of Ministers approved the purchase of additional quantities of various medicines and consumables for the facilities of the Ministry of Health.

The Council adopted a memorandum of understanding in the field of labor and employment between the Government of the State of Palestine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, which includes the development of employment policies and studies on labor market needs and the exchange of relevant information and expertise.

It also approved the amended system for licensing terrestrial and satellite radio and television stations, satellite broadcasting service companies, satellite station offices, and media production according to regulation No. (18) of 2018 and its amendments, particularly the transfer of the powers of the Ministry of Communications to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

The Council approved the amended system for the fees of print publications and media outlets, as the system was modified to help regulate these sectors and the legal alignment for transferring the tasks of the former Ministry of Information to the Ministry of Culture.

The Council also discussed in the first presentation the executive plan for the national cross-sectoral strategy to enhance governance and combat corruption (2025-2030), which serves as a reference plan for national policies to raise awareness and prevent corruption, pursue suspicions of corruption, and promote international cooperation in this regard.

As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to manage and digitize data systems, the Council approved the formation of a high committee to work on the priorities for digitizing vital data for government institutions and securing digital backups for sovereign data, alongside the Ministry's work on cloud storage operations and data systems protection.
