Engineer "Munif Turaish" Elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Water Authority of Jerusalem Governorate in Its New Term
SadaNews - The Board of Directors of the Water Authority of Jerusalem Governorate held its first meeting last Thursday, in the presence of the Authority's General Director, Engineer Thair Jaloud, following the addition of new members to the board after the recent local elections, as part of the reformation and updating of the board's membership.
The council saw the joining of several new members, including from the Ramallah Municipality: Mayor Jack Saadeh and Mustafa Halqawi, while from the Al-Bireh Municipality, the new members are Mayor Engineer Munif Turaish and Salwa Quraan.
The council also included representatives from several related entities and institutions, namely Mr. Hikmat Sami representing the Kfar Malik Village Council, Mohamed Hani representing the Deir Debwan Municipal Council, Engineer Fadi Abdul Ghani representing the Palestinian Water Authority, Mai Suleiman representing the Palestinian Ministry of Finance, and Islam Abu Ziad representing the Ministry of Local Government.
During the meeting, elections were held for the presidency of the board of directors, where Engineer Munif Turaish was elected as chairman of the authority's board, along with the selection of committee members according to the authority's laws and regulations.
The council emphasized the importance of continuing to work on developing services, enhancing performance efficiency, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens, in line with the needs of subscribers and the demands of the upcoming phase.
