Signing of Two Agreements Worth $21 Million to Support an Entrepreneurship Center and Civil Defense System

SadaNews Economy - In line with the government's strategic vision aimed at directing international support towards achieving sustainable development and enhancing the resilience of our national institutions, the Palestinian government signed two strategic agreements in Bethlehem with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Representing the government were His Excellency Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Stefano Salama, His Excellency Minister of Interior Ziad Heb Al-Reeh, His Excellency Minister of Local Government Sami Hijjawi, along with the country director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Palestine, Jo Hyun-Gu.

Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Salama noted that the total value of the two projects, amounting to $21 million, represents a strategic investment in two national priorities; the first project focuses on supporting innovation and entrepreneurship through the establishment of the (Bethlehem Entrepreneurship Center), which will serve as an incubator platform for startups, opening new economic horizons and increasing competitiveness for Palestinian youth. Meanwhile, the second project aims to enhance preparedness for crisis and disaster response by developing the infrastructure and equipment of the Palestinian Civil Defense, ensuring improved efficiency in dealing with emergencies and protecting the safety of citizens and local communities.
