Agreement to Form a Joint Committee to Enhance Cooperation with Arab Israelis
SadaNews - Today, Sunday, Minister of National Economy Muhammad Al-Amour held a meeting with representatives of the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which included various economic sectors, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and building sustainable economic partnerships.
Participants emphasized during the meeting held at the ministry headquarters the importance of building economic relations based on constructive dialogue and opening up new horizons for joint cooperation, by encouraging the establishment of joint companies and exploring the possibility of creating investment funds, thus contributing to stimulating economic growth.
The business delegation stressed the importance of overcoming obstacles to trade and investment activities and providing the necessary facilities to invigorate the market, particularly in the area of marketing within the West Bank governorates, in addition to the necessity of holding regular meetings between the private sector and investors.
They pointed to the vital role of Palestinian labor, asserting that it cannot be dispensed with due to its high efficiency and professionalism, while emphasizing the need to work on removing the obstacles it faces, alongside providing a supportive investment environment for establishing factories and projects.
For his part, Minister Al-Amour affirmed the government's interest in institutionalizing the relationship with Arab Israelis, pointing out that there are practical steps to encourage investment, and a strategic decision to remove all obstacles hindering the flow of investments.
The minister also clarified the ministry's readiness to organize and framework marketing and trade exchange operations.
During the meeting, it was agreed to form a joint committee to develop cooperation relations, in addition to specialized subcommittees to address issues in various sectors, and study the possibility of establishing a joint investment company, thus enhancing economic integration opportunities among businesspeople.
This meeting comes as a first step towards building real bridges of cooperation and opening new fields for partnership and economic development.
