The overall Producer Price Index recorded an increase of 3.06% during June 2025 compared to May 2025, reaching a general index of 243.48 in June 2025 compared to 236.24 in May 2025 (base year 2019 = 100).
Producer Price Index for Exported Goods During June 2025
The Producer Price Index for exported goods from local production recorded an increase of 7.95%, reaching 127.81 during June 2025 compared to 118.40 during May 2025 (base year 2019 = 100).
Producer Price Index for Locally Consumed Goods During June 2025
The Producer Price Index for locally consumed goods from local production recorded an increase of 2.81%, reaching 255.87 during June 2025 compared to 248.87 during May 2025 (base year 2019 = 100).
Behavior of Producer Prices within Main Activities During June 2025
The prices of goods produced from agricultural, forestry, and fishing activities, which represent a relative importance of 29.94% of the product basket, recorded a sharp increase of 45.60%, resulting from the sharp rise in prices of goods within livestock production activities by 58.09%, where the average price of local livestock reached 23.31 shekels/kg, local lamb 52.69 shekels/kg, local goat 44.34 shekels/kg, and eggs 20.08 shekels (for a 2 kg carton).
Prices of goods within the non-durable crop farming activity recorded a sharp increase of 46.29%, with average prices for: white cabbage at 6.10 shekels/kg, greenhouse tomatoes at 15.28 shekels/kg, greenhouse cucumbers at 6.13 shekels/kg, zucchini at 5.60 shekels/kg, eggplant at 11.81 shekels/kg, hot peppers at 28.03 shekels/kg, sweet green peppers at 7.13 shekels/kg, watermelon at 4.68 shekels/kg, okra at 76.97 shekels/kg, broad green beans at 30.19 shekels/kg, green beans at 34.19 shekels/kg, potatoes at 20.29 shekels/kg, local dry onions at 50.13 shekels/kg, yellow corn on the cob at 28.42 shekels/kg, and dry garlic at 392.87 shekels/kg.
Prices of goods within the permanent crop farming activity also recorded a sharp increase of 22.85%, with average prices for white grapes at 18.05 shekels/kg, lemons at 33.46 shekels/kg, and dry shelled almonds at 25 shekels/kg.
In general, price levels are witnessing sharp fluctuations between increases and decreases in the Gaza Strip, linked to developments in the Israeli aggression, and not a result of changes stemming from market interactions, thus having a significant impact on the overall index for the Palestinian territories. These data must be taken into account when reading the Producer Price Index. Given the specificity of this exceptional phase, the average prices in the Palestinian territories cannot be used due to the significant regional data variance, which are greatly affected by price changes in the Gaza Strip.
The prices of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supplies, which constitute a relative importance of 8.23% of the product basket, recorded an increase of 0.26% during June 2025 compared to the previous month.
Prices of mining and quarrying products, which represent a relative importance of 1.41% of the product basket, remained stable during June 2025.
Meanwhile, prices of goods produced from manufacturing activities, representing a relative importance of 58.92% of the product basket, recorded a sharp decrease of 31.95%, due to decreased prices of goods produced within the following activities: grain mill products decreased by 68.99%, basic iron and steel production by 0.68%, and footwear by 0.30%, despite the increase in prices for the production of vegetable and animal oils and fats by 17.78%.
Prices for water supply, sewage, waste management, and treatment activities, which represent a relative importance of 1.50% of the product basket, recorded a slight decrease of 0.07% during June 2025 compared to the previous month.
