Storming and Arrests in the West Bank and Injury of a Young Man Near Jerusalem

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale raid on several cities and towns in the West Bank on Tuesday morning and dawn, which included house raids and arrests, while a young man was shot by the occupation near the separation wall north of occupied Jerusalem. Clashes erupted in the village of Madama south of Nablus.

In Jenin Governorate, the occupation forces stormed housing shelters for displaced persons from the Jenin camp near the Arab American University, in addition to raiding several homes and residential buildings in various neighborhoods, arresting several Palestinians including the sister of the martyr Muhammad al-Hawashine, Sheikh Muhammad Abahra, young man Thaer Al-Alouna, and the released prisoner Ghassan Al-Atresh.

Nablus Governorate also witnessed incursions into Madama village and the city of Nablus during which 14 Palestinians were arrested, and clashes erupted with the youth, coinciding with the raids and arrests. Other areas were also targeted in the incursions, including Tubas, Tammun, Tulkarm, Salfit, and the city of Al-Bireh.

In Salfit Governorate, the occupation forces detained the head of the labor unions in the governorate, Mahmoud Al-Bar, along with Islam Hasan and Wael Yassin, after raiding and searching their homes.

In Hebron, settlers stormed the area of the Al-Ras cemetery, while occupation forces raided the town of Al-Shuyukh. Settlers also continued provocative tours in the Amilha gathering east of Al-Taybeh village in Ramallah Governorate.

In occupied Jerusalem, a young man from the town of Rummana west of Jenin was injured by gunfire from the occupation near the separation wall in the town of Al-Ram, while the forces fired tear gas extensively during the raid on Shuafat camp.

Several citizens suffered from suffocation during the raid by the occupation forces on the city of Qalqilya in the northwest of the West Bank.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided the city from its main eastern entrance and spread in several areas, including the northern region, the Al-Marj neighborhood, and the Al-Nakar neighborhood.

During the raid, the forces fired sound bombs and gas canisters towards a cafe near the northern checkpoint, resulting in several citizens suffering from suffocation, who were treated on the ground.
