The Occupation Continues Its Violations in Lebanon: 4,303 Martyrs and 12,202 Injuries Since March 2

SadaNews - The death toll from the Israeli war on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 4,303 martyrs and 12,202 injuries, according to the latest figures cited by the Ministry of Health in the country on Saturday evening.

Israeli occupation forces continued their assaults and violations in southern Lebanon on Saturday, launching an airstrike and firing machine guns towards several border towns, while an explosion of remnants from the war injured people in the Wadi Tulin area.

The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that an Israeli drone carried out a strike targeting the town of Al-Mansouri in the Tyre district, although immediate details about the extent of the damage or injuries were not clear.

In a related context, the occupying forces opened heavy machine gun fire towards the town of Hadatha early Saturday, and also targeted the outskirts of the towns of Kounin and Tairi, continuing the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Earlier on Saturday, an explosive device from remnants of the war detonated in the Wadi Tulin area, prompting the intervention of ambulance teams, while no official figures regarding the injuries have been released yet.

These developments come amid ongoing tensions at the Lebanese border, despite a framework agreement that came into effect weeks ago, which stipulates a cessation of hostilities and enhancing the presence of the Lebanese army in the south, amid Lebanon's accusations against Israel of continuing to violate the agreement through airstrikes, shelling, and military incursions.

The on-the-ground violations coincide with escalating political and diplomatic pressures regarding the implementation of the agreement's clauses, at a time when Lebanese authorities affirm that the continued Israeli occupation of parts of Lebanese territory and repeated assaults undermine the chances of establishing stability in the region.
