Pakistan: Agreement on the Final Text of the Peace Agreement Between the US and Iran

SadaNews - Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced on Friday that the final text of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran has been agreed upon.

Sharif wrote on the "X" platform: "We can confirm that a final and agreed text of the peace agreement has been reached, and Pakistan is currently working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps."

He added: "Peace is now closer than ever." Sharif also mentioned: "In light of Pakistan's intensive mediation efforts, we are fully aware of the ongoing misinformation campaign being waged by those trying to sabotage the peace agreement."

This comes as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated today that reaching a memorandum of understanding with the United States is closer than ever, but urged the media to refrain from speculating about its content until it is finalized.

Araghchi wrote on the "X" platform: "The Islamabad memorandum is closer than ever," referring to Pakistan’s capital, which plays a key mediating role between the two countries.

US President Donald Trump posted on his "Truth Social" account a picture of the Iranian foreign minister's post on "X." Trump announced yesterday, Thursday, a delay in strikes against Iran and spoke about an imminent agreement.

Islamabad is mediating talks between Tehran and Washington, and messages have been exchanged repeatedly between the two warring sides through Pakistan in recent months. Representatives from the United States and Iran also met in the Pakistani capital last April.
