Vance: No Cash Payments to Iran.. Agreement Prioritizes Washington and Allies' Concerns

SadaNews -U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that there is "a lot of misinformation" circulating regarding a potential agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end Iran's nuclear weapons program, emphasizing that the Iranians will not receive any cash payments and that no funds will be released simply for signing an agreement or attending a meeting.

Vance clarified, in a post on the "X" platform, that the agreement is designed to prioritize the concerns of the United States and its allies, adding that if Iran meets its commitments, economic benefits will flow to it and the entire region.

He considered the agreement to have the potential to reshape the region and pave the way for lasting peace.

Vance criticized what he described as two "strange" aspects in the media coverage over the past few hours, saying that some people who considered U.S. President Donald Trump to be a "historic president" a month ago are now criticizing the agreement based on unverified media reports.

He added that the second point is that there are people saying that no statement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard can be trusted, yet they simultaneously believe social media posts that rely on unknown sources.

Vance concluded by saying that President Trump "will deliver a good outcome for us, one way or another."
