4 Injuries in Settler Attack on the Residents of Deir Abu Mishal Near Ramallah
SadaNews - Four citizens were injured, one of them seriously, today (Friday) during an attack by settlers on the residents of Deir Abu Mishal village, northwest of Ramallah, shortly after their successful dismantling of a settlement outpost.
Jamil Mousa, the head of the Deir Abu Mishal village council, said that settlers attacked a group of citizens in the "Qaranah" hill area south of the village with sticks, knives, and sharp tools, resulting in injuries to four of them, with one of the injuries being critical.
A number of citizens managed to reach a settlement outpost established on the lands of Deir Abu Mishal and dismantle it, which subsequently led to clashes between the residents, the occupying army, and the settlers in the area, where soldiers fired large amounts of tear gas.
A unit of the occupying army stormed Deir Abu Mishal coinciding with Friday prayers, in an attempt to prevent residents from heading to the "Qaranah" hill to protest against the establishment of the settlement outpost, claiming that the army would dismantle it.
It is noteworthy that settlers stormed the hill in the morning and reinstalled a settlement tent on it, just days after the occupying army had removed it under a court order.
