Iranian Warnings to America and Communications to Resume Negotiations
SadaNews - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's intelligence agency stated that the decision-making space for the United States has become limited amid escalating tensions between the two sides regarding the nuclear file and the negotiation process.
The Revolutionary Guard's intelligence agency clarified in a tweet on X platform that "U.S. President Donald Trump must choose between an impossible military operation and an agreement with Iran," referring to the narrow options facing Washington.
Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri, also mentioned that Tehran is dealing transparently in its positions and demands, pointing out that it depends on America; if it "truly seeks to resolve the issues and open the negotiation path, it must change its behavior."
Amiri added - in exclusive statements to Irna agency - that Pakistan remains the mediator, clarifying that Iran has not made any decision to change the mediator, and it seems that the American side is taking a similar stance, according to him.
Earlier today, Iranian media reported that Tehran presented the United States, via Pakistan, a proposal consisting of 14 points in response to the American offer of 9 points, which includes a concrete roadmap to end the war.
Media reports indicated that the proposal was reviewed internally within the decision-making mechanisms in Iran before sending it and received the necessary approvals.
On the other hand, the Tasnim Iranian agency stated that the recent American proposal regarding a ceasefire with Iran included a call for a two-month ceasefire, while the Iranian response focused on ending the war comprehensively and definitively, rather than just settling for temporary extensions of the truce.
International Communications
On the diplomatic front, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi informed his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi about efforts to end the war and work towards peace in the region.
Additionally, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi informed his Iranian counterpart that Japan strongly hopes Iran and the United States will resume negotiations soon and reach a final agreement to end their conflict.
The call was made at the request of the Iranian side during Motegi's visit to Kenya, according to the Japan Times newspaper.
The Japanese Foreign Ministry also urged Iran to demonstrate maximum flexibility in the negotiations.
During the call, Araghchi reviewed his country's current situation, including discussions with the United States and future expectations, where both sides agreed to continue close communication.
Ensuring Freedom of Navigation
In a related context, Motegi emphasized the importance of ensuring freedom and security of navigation in the Hormuz Strait, which is witnessing increasing restrictions, demanding that all ships be allowed to cross as soon as possible, especially after a Japan-related ship crossed the strait.
The first tanker carrying Russian crude oil to Japan is expected to arrive early tomorrow, Monday, since the closure of the Hormuz Strait, where the shipment will be delivered to a refining facility belonging to "Taiyo Oil" in Ehime Prefecture in western Japan, according to Japanese sources.
These developments come amid escalating political and diplomatic pressures related to the Iranian file, alongside international efforts to reignite the negotiation process and ease tensions in the region.
