Anti-government demonstrations in Israel in Tel Aviv and many areas

SadaNews - Anti-government demonstrations were organized in various areas, the largest of which was in "Habima" Square in Tel Aviv, demanding the establishment of an official investigative committee regarding the events of October 7, 2023. A coalition comprising dozens of civil society organizations, human rights groups, and others opposing the Israeli government called for protests in different areas, demanding the establishment of an official investigation into the events of October 7. Hundreds demonstrated in several areas, notably in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. The protests included the Israeli police forcibly dispersing a number of demonstrators on the grounds of disturbing order. The demonstrators in Tel Aviv began marching from "Rabin" Square towards "Habima" Square at 6:30 PM, and by 7:30 PM, they established the place as a gathering and protest site in the presence of enhanced police forces, following clashes between police and demonstrators in recent weeks. The demonstration in Jerusalem took place at Paris Square, near the residence of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Meanwhile, the protest in Haifa was held at "Horev" Center, along with demonstrations and protests at various intersections and bridges in several areas, including Kfar Saba (Witzman-Sokoloff intersection), Herzliya (City Gates - Sha'ar Ha'ir), Rehovot, and Kiryat Tivon. The demonstrators' demands included the establishment of an official investigation committee regarding the events of October 7 and a rejection of the "eternal war," accusing Netanyahu of fabricating wars for political, not security reasons.
