Israeli Army Official: If We Do Not Extract Enriched Uranium from Iran, Everything We Did Will Be a Complete Failure

SadaNews - A senior Israeli army official stated that if Israel does not manage to extract enriched uranium from Iran, then everything it has done during the war will be a complete failure.

This was reported by the Israeli army radio on Friday evening, where the official said: "If we do not extract enriched uranium from Iran, then all that we have done in Operation 'Lion's Roar' (the war on Iran) will be a complete failure."

The army radio mentioned that the same official believes that if a political agreement is not reached with Iran regarding the disposal of enriched uranium in Iran and stopping uranium enrichment, the achievements of the military operation will be in vain. "It will be a complete failure, because this regime... will focus on the nuclear program, and then we will not have achieved anything."

He added that "the goal of the operation was not just to send a message to the Iranians or to react, but it was a step of much greater importance."

The official expressed skepticism about the "rationality" of senior officials in the Iranian regime, stating that if the current political efforts do not yield results in this regard, it will be necessary to launch another attack on Iran to achieve the desired goal.

The same official acknowledged that during the war in Iran, Israel attacked internal security bases, Iranian army checkpoints, and the Basij forces, hoping that these attacks would encourage the Iranian people to take to the streets.

He said, "As soon as it became clear to us that it was not working, we stopped doing that."

In a related context, the American website "Axios" reported, citing an unnamed source, that the American envoy, Steve Wietcove, "sent on Monday amendments to the negotiation draft with Iran, focusing on re-inserting the nuclear file."

The report added that "one of Wietcove's amendments demands that Iran commits to not attempting to transfer any enriched uranium."

This comes as Iran proposed to the United States, through Pakistan, a new negotiation proposal to finally end the war, according to official media in Tehran on Friday, with reports stating that the American envoy, Steve Wietcove, sent on Monday amendments to the negotiation draft with Iran, focusing on re-inserting the nuclear file.

The Iranian news agency "IRNA" reported: "The Islamic Republic of Iran presented its latest negotiation proposals to Pakistan, acting as a mediator in the talks with the United States, late Thursday," with no additional details provided.

According to "Axios," Iran submitted its response regarding the American amendments related to the latest Iranian proposal to Pakistan on Thursday.

Israeli Minister of Security, Israel Katz, stated yesterday that Tel Aviv may resume the war on Iran "soon" to achieve its objectives, referring to support for what he described as efforts to fulfill the goals, led by American President Donald Trump, in reference to the stalled negotiating process.
