Hamas Demands Mediators to Compel Israel to Stop Violations in Gaza
SadaNews - The Hamas movement stated on Friday that the continuous violations of the occupation necessitate a clear and firm stance from mediators and guaranteeing countries to condemn these policies and to take their responsibilities in ensuring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
This came in a statement on the occasion of the 200th day of the ceasefire agreement.
It emphasized the necessity of holding the occupation government accountable for its commitments, stopping its transgressions against the blood and rights of the Palestinian people, and ending the crime of starvation and humanitarian suffering.
It stated that the daily violations committed by the occupation, including the killing of hundreds of children, women, and civilians, deepening the humanitarian disaster through tightening the siege and the policy of starvation, and continuing to either temporarily open or close the Rafah crossing while moving what is called the yellow line westward in many locations, among other violations, clearly demonstrate the Netanyahu war criminal government's disavowal of the mediators' efforts and its attempt to evade and sabotage the agreement.
It added: This ongoing aggression despite the signing of the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement is considered an extension of the genocidal war against Palestinian civilians, representing an abnormal humanitarian, political, and legal situation under international laws and charters established to protect civilians, as more than two million people are held captive to the will of the killing and besieging machine and starvation.
