The Saudi film "7Dogs" enters the Guinness Book with two world records
SadaNews - The head of the Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced that the film "7Dogs" has registered two world records in the Guinness World Records, in an unprecedented achievement that enhances Saudi Arabia's presence on the global cinema map.
Al-Sheikh stated via his Instagram account that the film's entry into the record book was made possible with the support of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in cooperation with security sectors and the "Al-Hosn" studios in Riyadh.
Achievements surpassing James Bond
The film succeeded in breaking the record for the largest cinematic explosion in the history of cinema, surpassing the film "Spectre" (2015), which recorded 68.47 tons of TNT, achieving a massive explosion with a force of 170.7 tons.
It also shattered the record previously held by "No Time To Die" (2021) in the category of the largest explosion of highly explosive materials in a single scene, with the number rising from 136.4 kg to 405.85 kg of TNT.
A new phase for Saudi cinema
Al-Sheikh confirmed that this achievement reflects the significant development in the infrastructure of artistic production in the Kingdom as part of the objectives of Vision 2030, pointing out that the film will be released soon amidst local and global anticipation.
"7Dogs" is the first film to be filmed at the Al-Hosn Big Time studios in Riyadh, featuring prominent Arab stars such as Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, and directed by the international duo Adel & Belal.
With this achievement, Saudi cinema enters a new phase, not only through stories and stars but also through the technologies and production creativity that place it among the major cinematic industries around the world.
