Hana Al Zahid Reveals Details of Her Escape from a Serious Accident While Filming 'Al Shater'
SadaNews - The artist Hana Al Zahid revealed that she was involved in a serious accident during the filming of the movie "Al Shater," currently showing, which nearly cost her life due to underwater shooting. She indicated that divine intervention and the crew saved her from drowning at the last moment.
Hana Al Zahid explained during her appearance on the program "Tafaalukom" with the media personality Sara Dandrawi that the scene required her to be underwater for several minutes for the filming, but she failed to do so and began to float rapidly.
She added that the crew placed a heavy iron weight to keep her underwater so they could capture the scene, but the weight was too much for her to handle, and she started to drown.
She pointed out that she felt scared while filming this scene, a sentiment echoed by the artist Mustafa Gharib, who said: "We were all scared of the scene; the only one who wasn't scared was Amir Karara."
For his part, Amir Karara explained that there was no need for concern due to the presence of professional divers with them during the filming of the scene, but Hana Al Zahid felt frightened, and the weight of the iron was significant for her.
Hana Al Zahid continued that initially, they thought she was swimming, but in reality, she was drowning due to the heaviness of the iron and her inability to come out of the water, saying: "I can't get out on my own; they thought I was coming up, but I was truly drowning."
Meanwhile, director Ahmed El-Gendy stated that the crew faced some difficulties during the filming, the most notable being shooting outside Egypt, but everyone was prepared to deal with all problems.
He expressed his happiness in collaborating with Amir Karara, noting that they have had a friendship for years and he has long wished to work with him, saying: "He is a great artist and comedian." He also praised Mustafa Gharib's talent and the comedic scenes he delivered in the film, saying: "Mustafa is a talented actor, and it's not the first time we've worked together."
For his part, Mustafa Gharib clarified that his role in the film is that of Fattouh, a friend of the film's hero played by Amir Karara; however, they face a significant crisis that drives them to cooperate together.
Regarding some of the comedic dialogue lines in the film, Mustafa Gharib revealed that some were improvised, but the arrangement was settled initially with director Ahmed El-Gendy, stating: "We tried several times in the scenes to get them right before filming."
It is noteworthy that the film "Al Shater" is directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, co-written with Karim Youssef, and stars Amir Karara, Hana Al Zahid, Mustafa Gharib, and Adel Karam, along with several guest stars, most notably Khaled El-Sawy.
The events of the film "Al Shater" revolve around a series of comedic and action-filled adventures that the film's heroes face after falling into unexpected chases and crises.
Amir Karara portrays a stunt double for several cinema stars, but circumstances put him in confrontation with a gang that kidnaps his sister for a "flash drive" containing information they wish to obtain. Therefore, circumstances force him to seek assistance from his friend Hana Al Zahid to embark on this adventure within a mix of action and comedy.
"Al Shater" topped the box office revenues in recent days, surpassing 50 million Egyptian pounds in its first two weeks across various cinemas, exceeding the film "Ahmed & Ahmed" starring Ahmed El-Sakka and Ahmed Fahmy, which came in second, and the film "Project X" starring Karim Abdel Aziz, which came in third during the same screening period.
