Ahmed Fahmy Describes Himself as Chaotic: This is the Role Closest to His Heart

SadaNews - Egyptian artist Ahmed Fahmy revealed the role closest to his heart throughout his artistic journey, which began in 2002, and spoke candidly about some details of his personal and professional life, describing himself as a chaotic person, explaining that there have been many amusing situations he faced due to stubborn decisions he made.

During an interview on the program "Lana and the Stars," Ahmed Fahmy explained that he cannot be an organized person, describing himself as very chaotic, but he does not have much curiosity about things, saying, "A lot of things don't matter to me."

He added that he often loses his belongings, even if they are important items, saying, "I lost my bag in the morning, and once I lost my passport in Riyadh."

Regarding his insistence on his decisions and not listening to reason, he explained that he made many of these choices in his professional career, pointing out that during the preparation for one of the films, he proposed the name of a person to work with without having personal knowledge of him or having met before.

He noted that despite the producer's rejection, he insisted on his participation in the film, saying: "And he turned out to be the best thing in the film, and since then we've become brothers, and I have no regrets."

About the roles he considers closest to his heart, Ahmed Fahmy confirmed that the character "Asfour" in the series "The Cherry Man" is the closest, pointing out that he loved this role and found it comfortable, saying: "I love playing this type of character."

He emphasized that some traits of the character "Asfour" made him feel close to it, saying: "Asfour was wild, he had no calculations, no conscience, or blood, and as long as I was working on it, I was happy."

Ahmed Fahmy talked about fame and its positives and negatives, explaining that it opens many doors but keeps a person in the spotlight, saying: "Anything personal that happens in your life, whether it's marriage, divorce, or even a regular problem, becomes much bigger because of fame."

Regarding his best way to deal with the rumors that always surround him, Ahmed Fahmy responded: "Every day a new rumor comes out about me, but I don't care. In the past, I would get upset, but now I don't."

It is noted that the series "The Cherry Man," which was released in 2013, featured Ahmed Fahmy in the role of "Asfour," a simple young man who works as a singer in a modest band. His life suddenly changes after he experiences a strange accident, finding himself on an unexpected path.

The character "Bayram" (played by Hossam Majed), an eccentric inventor, intervenes and saves him using a chemical substance that grants him superpowers. Thus, "The Cherry Man" is born, a folk hero that arouses contention in the Egyptian street.

It is worth mentioning that Ahmed Fahmy currently stars in the film "Ahmed and Ahmed," which he co-stars for the first time with artist Ahmed El Sakka and Waheedah El Shamashergy.
