"Palestine Insurance" Pays $1.67 Million Compensation for the "Gaza Life" Solar Project

SadaNews Economy - The Palestine Insurance Company announced the settlement of an insurance claim worth 1.67 million US dollars for the "Gaza Life" solar project, as compensation for the damages incurred during the war on the Gaza Strip.

Mr. Omar Abu Hashiah, a board member of the Palestine Insurance Company, confirmed that this step embodies the strong financial solvency of the company and its ability to meet its obligations towards policyholders and vital affected projects. Abu Hashiah explained that this compensation represents the third settlement addressed under the "war risks" coverage, bringing the total compensation completed so far to 3.4 million dollars, with ongoing efforts to settle other claims exceeding 15 million dollars.

For her part, Dr. Tahani Abu Daqa, Chairwoman of the Gaza Life Project, praised the professionalism of the Palestine Insurance Company and its prompt responsiveness, stressing that the commitment to compensation in a timely manner reflects the company's high credibility. The handover ceremony took place in Cairo, Egypt, attended by Mr. Ibrahim Zaghra, Secretary of the Board of Directors at Palestine Insurance Company, and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa, the company's branch manager in the Gaza Strip.
