A Leadership Delegation from Hamas Meets the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister in Moscow

SadaNews - A leadership delegation from Hamas, headed by the head of the International Relations Office, Mousa Abu Marzouk, met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Georgy Borisiko, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Moscow.

The Hamas delegation included member of the political bureau, Maher Salah, the movement's representative in Moscow, Iyad Abu Zaher, and the secretary of the International Relations Office, Mohamed Al-Ayla.

The Hamas leadership delegation conducted in-depth political consultations with Russian officials concerning developments in the negotiation process and the movement's position on it, as well as ways to unify international efforts to completely end the war and its impacts on the Palestinians.

The Hamas delegation informed the Russian side about the details of the repeated crimes and violations committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, and the plans aimed at imposing catastrophic realities on the ground.

During the meeting, the movement's delegation emphasized Hamas's full commitment to upholding the ceasefire to ensure an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people, while also stressing their insistence on achieving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, leading to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.

There was also an exchange of positions and opinions regarding the developments taking place in the region.

For his part, Borisiko affirmed the unwavering position of the Russian Federation in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and his country's commitment to advancing negotiation tracks to achieve security and stability, and to maintain the relationship with the movement and ongoing communication with it. He briefed the delegation on his country's diplomatic efforts to prevent the return of war and to create a fair political horizon for the Palestinian cause.

In turn, the movement's delegation praised the appreciated Russian diplomatic efforts and Moscow's important role in supporting the Palestinian cause and standing by the Palestinian people.
