Ambassador Shalabi Receives Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund in Jeddah

SadaNews - Ambassador Hadi Shibli, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, received today, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the headquarters of the permanent delegation in the city of Jeddah, Mr. Mohammed bin Suleiman Aba Al-Khail, the Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, in the presence of Second Secretary Ahtar Omri.

During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Permanent Delegation of the State of Palestine and the Islamic Solidarity Fund were discussed, as well as monitoring the implementation of approved projects for the State of Palestine with the fund, in addition to reviewing the projects listed on the fund's agenda for the coming year.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for developing support provided to vital sectors in the State of Palestine, and discussed opportunities to launch new initiatives and programs that contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people and meeting their developmental and humanitarian needs in light of current challenges.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint cooperation to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of approved projects, and to enhance the role of the Islamic Solidarity Fund in supporting the Palestinian people and solidifying their resilience on their land.

This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts made by the Permanent Delegation of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to strengthen partnerships with various institutions of the organization, in a way that serves Palestinian national interests and supports development and resilience in Palestine.
