Trump: Serious Negotiations Underway Regarding Iran and We Halted Our Attack After Gulf Request
SadaNews - US President Donald Trump said on Monday evening that an attack on Iran was scheduled for tomorrow.
Trump wrote on his social media platform: Serious negotiations are currently underway regarding Iran.
He noted that the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE requested him to refrain from launching a military attack against Iran.
He said: The Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE believe that a highly acceptable agreement can be reached for us and the countries of the Middle East.
He added: The agreement that the leaders believe we will reach will ensure that Iran does not possess any nuclear weapons.
He continued: I directed the Pentagon not to carry out the planned attack on Iran tomorrow, in respect for the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE.
He went on: I instructed the Pentagon to remain on high alert for a comprehensive attack on Iran if we do not reach an acceptable agreement.
