Axios: Trump Holds Meeting to Discuss Military Option Against Iran

SadaNews - Axios reported on Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump has brought military options against Iran back to the table, as Tehran has refrained from making concessions regarding its nuclear program.

U.S. officials clarified that Trump wants an agreement to end the war, but "Iran's rejection of many of his demands and its refusal to make meaningful concessions regarding its nuclear program have brought the military option back to the table".

Trump is expected to hold a meeting in the Situation Room with senior national security officials on Tuesday to discuss military action options, according to two U.S. officials.

In a phone call to Axios, Trump stated that "time is running out" for Iran, warning that if the Iranian regime does not present a better offer for an agreement, "they will face a much stronger blow".

Earlier on Sunday, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, "Time is running out for Iran, and they must move quickly, or they will have nothing left. Time is of the essence".

On Saturday, Trump hinted at a renewed military action against Iran in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump wrote on the platform: "The calm before the storm", attaching a photo of himself with a large storm and warships behind him, which seemed to signal the proximity of military action against Iran.

Previously, Trump said that Iran would face a very bad time if no agreement is reached with them.

He explained to French channel "BFM" that he does not know if an agreement with Iran will be reached soon, but indicated that the Iranians are interested in reaching an agreement.

Trump continued: "Iran will face a very bad time if no agreement is reached".
