Saidam: Voting opens for the Central Committee and Revolutionary Council of Fatah Movement

SadaNews - The head of the media committee for the eighth general conference of the "Fatah" movement announced that the voting for the election of the Central Committee and the Revolutionary Council opened at 10 AM and will continue until 4 PM, simultaneously across all venues.

Saidam added, during an interview on Palestine TV, that the counting process will begin immediately after the voting ends, starting with the Central Committee boxes, then the Revolutionary Council boxes, followed by the announcement of preliminary results, and then a session will be held to open the door for appeals, to address any issues if they arise, followed by a closing meeting for the conference participants tomorrow to announce the final and official results.

He further noted that the electoral process is not impromptu, indicating that the logistics committee conducted preliminary exercises in preparation for these elections.

He explained that detailed explanations about the electoral process were presented directly, through video films, and through images using artificial intelligence, in addition to training teams on the ground on how to handle the electoral process.

The conference commenced its sessions the day before yesterday, Thursday, with the participation of President Mahmoud Abbas, and the presence of ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine, religious leaders, representatives of factions and national forces, and civil society institutions.

Approximately 2,580 members are participating in the conference, distributed with about 1,600 in Ramallah, 400 in the Gaza Strip, another 400 in Cairo, and 200 in Beirut.

The sessions of the eighth Fatah movement conference are proceeding in an organized atmosphere, confirming the movement and its cadres' commitment to the success of the eighth conference and to enhancing democratic participation in its various leadership bodies.
