"Fatah": Nazzal's statements confirm that Hamas prioritizes its factional interests over the suffering of Palestinians

SadaNews - The Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" stated that in light of the recent statements made by the Hamas leader Muhammad Nazzal, which clearly revealed the nature of the movement's orientations and its approach for the upcoming phase, that "such positions once again demonstrate that Hamas continues to prioritize its narrow factional interests and organizational existence at the expense of the suffering of our Palestinian people and their great sacrifices".

The official spokesman of the "Fatah" movement, Abdul Fattah Dula, said: "After two years of extermination, destruction, and displacement that affected our people in the Gaza Strip, it would have been more appropriate for the "Hamas" movement to align itself with the will and higher interests of its people, rather than continue to turn its back on the tragic reality created by the coup and years of unilateral rule".

In a statement, he emphasized "Fatah's" firm rejection of any partial solutions or formulas that institutionalize the separation between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, or grant the occupation free cards by returning to talk about a "long-term truce", as such proposals undermine the essence of the Palestinian national project and replace the comprehensive political solution based on international legitimacy and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, with local administrative projects under the umbrella of occupation."

He added that the insistence of the "Hamas" movement – as Nazzal stated – to maintain its security control in the Gaza Strip after all that has happened means insisting on reproducing rule through illegal force, accompanied by violations and collective field executions that are being repeated today against our people in the besieged and afflicted Gaza Strip, at a moment when everyone needs to repair the national fabric rather than tear it apart again".

He affirmed that "the hints about Hamas's readiness to maintain its control in exchange for giving up its weapons are not new, as the movement has previously approached regional and international parties, including the U.S. administration, in this regard and agreed to President Trump's plan, which included a clear item regarding the surrender of weapons. This reflects the nature of the bargains that Hamas seeks for its survival, not for the rights of its people".

He stressed that the "Fatah" movement views the only way to end the national tragedy is the return of the Gaza Strip to Palestinian national legitimacy, and the cessation of all attempts to dismantle the collective identity of Palestinians.

He pointed out that the children of the Palestinian people have sacrificed their blood for freedom, state, and independence, not to entrench division and create alternative projects to one Palestine. As he said.
