Iran Targets American Bases with Missiles and Drones in the Gulf and Jordan

SadaNews: The region has entered a new phase of military escalation, after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it carried out extensive attacks using missiles and drones against several American military bases deployed in the Gulf and Jordan, as a direct response to the American strikes that targeted sites within Iranian territory in the past hours.

The Revolutionary Guard clarified that its operations included 21 targets in American air and naval bases, including the Fifth Fleet stationed in Bahrain, Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and Azraq Base in Jordan. It confirmed that these attacks were in response to what it described as "American aggressions" on Iranian territory.

In Bahrain, the authorities sounded alarms and urged citizens and residents to head to safe places and adhere to official instructions. The media advisor to the King of Bahrain, Nabil Al-Hamr, also stated that the Bahraini air defense systems were able to counter the Iranian attacks.

In Kuwait, the General Staff of the Armed Forces announced that the air defense systems engaged hostile aerial targets. In Jordan, the army confirmed the interception and downing of five missiles that were fired towards the Azraq area, noting that there were no human casualties or material damage, despite some debris resulting from the interception operations.

In the Iranian capital, Tehran, the Revolutionary Guard emphasized that the attacks carried out with drones and missiles targeted American sites in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, confirming the destruction of several military targets. It also warned that the continuation of American strikes would be met with stronger retaliatory responses in the coming period.

This escalation comes just hours after the United States announced a series of strikes on targets inside Iran, stating that they were made in self-defense following the downing of an American Apache helicopter, under direct orders from President Donald Trump. This development raises serious concerns about the widening military confrontation in the region.
