Newspaper: America Intensified its Missile Defense to Protect Israel from Iranian Missiles

SadaNews Translation - The Washington Post revealed that the United States launched more than 200 missiles from the "THAAD" air defense system during the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, in a move that reflects the extent of US military involvement in protecting Israeli airspace. Washington also used about 100 missiles of the SM-3 and SM-6 models, which are advanced systems designed to intercept ballistic missiles and hostile aircraft.

In contrast, data showed that Israel relied less on its defensive arsenal, launching fewer than 100 missiles from the "Arrow" system, in addition to about 90 missiles from the "David's Sling" system.

This intensive use of defense systems comes amid rising regional tensions, as Washington seeks to prevent any air breach that could threaten Israel's security or expand the scope of the war. This also reflects the United States' commitment to the strategic alliance with Tel Aviv.
