Pilgrims Arrive at Arafat for the Greatest Ritual of Hajj

SadaNews: Since the dawn of this Tuesday (9th of Dhu al-Hijjah), pilgrims have been arriving at the plains of Arafat, where the guests of Allah stand on the أرض عرفة from sunrise until sunset, engaging in chants, remembrance, and prayers.

Pilgrims are keen to be within the boundaries of Arafat, which have designated signs and guiding boards, as the entire area of Arafat is considered the site for pilgrims during the most important rituals of Hajj.

With the arrival of midday, the sermon for the Day of Arafat is delivered, focusing on guidance, advice, and reminding of the virtues of this day. Then, the pilgrims perform the combined and shortened prayers for Dhuhr and Asr, following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

As the sun sets on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the crowds of pilgrims begin to move towards Muzdalifah, where they perform the combined and shortened prayers for Maghrib and Isha.

Saudi Arabia announced yesterday evening (Monday) the completion of pilgrim arrivals at Mina during the Day of Tarwiyah (8th of Dhu al-Hijjah), as pilgrims prepare for the stand on Arafat.
