Haaretz: Cooling Relations Between Netanyahu and Trump
SadaNews - The military and security affairs editor at the Israeli newspaper Haaretz stated that relations between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump are no longer as they were in previous years, noting that the cooling has become evident in the positions and coordination between the two parties.
He clarified that Israel's influence on Trump's decisions regarding regional issues has noticeably diminished, particularly concerning the Iranian file, as Washington seeks to open new negotiation channels with Tehran.
He added that all indicators related to the possibility of reaching a settlement between the United States and Iran do not bode well for Israel, which views any American-Iranian rapprochement as a threat to its security and strategic interests.
Netanyahu previously enjoyed a strong personal relationship with Trump, but he no longer receives the same level of attention or response from the White House. Analysts believe that this decline reflects a shift in the priorities of the U.S. administration, which has become more focused on domestic issues and other international matters distant from the Middle East.
