Report: Trump to Hold Meeting Today to Discuss Latest Iranian Offer and Will Decide on It by Tomorrow

Translation by SadaNews - President Trump stated to Axios today, Saturday, that he will meet with his negotiators later today to discuss the latest Iranian offer, and it is likely that he will decide by Sunday whether to resume the war or not.

Trump said, according to SadaNews translation, that the odds are completely equal between the possibility of reaching a good agreement or "destroying them completely."

Trump added that he will meet with Steve Mnuchin and Jared Kushner later Saturday to discuss the latest Iranian responses. Vice President Pence is also expected to join the meeting.

Pakistani General Asim Munir, who was mediating between the two parties, left Tehran on Saturday after meeting with senior officials there and trying to advance the agreement.

No final agreement has been reached, but Pakistan stated that there is "encouraging progress towards achieving a final understanding."

Trump said he would only accept an agreement that includes issues such as uranium enrichment and the fate of the current Iranian stockpile.

However, it is unlikely that these issues will be detailed under the letter of intent being discussed by the United States and Iran.

Under this proposal, they would agree to end the war and commit to 30 days of more in-depth negotiations.

Trump said: "I believe one of two things will happen: either I will strike them harder than they have ever been struck before, or we will sign a good agreement."

He acknowledged that some people prefer to reach an agreement, while others prefer to resume the war, but he rejected the idea that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was concerned about the possibility of a disadvantageous agreement.
