France bans Ben Gvir from entering its territory following his actions with the activists of the Freedom Fleet
SadaNews - French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Saturday that his country has banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from entering its territory.
Barrot tweeted on the platform "X" that Ben Gvir is prohibited from entering France due to his unacceptable actions towards activists aboard the Freedom Fleet.
He noted that the ban takes effect immediately.
He added: I join my Italian counterpart in calling on the European Union to impose sanctions on Ben Gvir.
Ben Gvir had posted a video of himself insulting the activists of the Freedom Fleet that was headed to Gaza, and faced sharp criticism from most countries worldwide, especially in Europe, and even from opponents and allies within the Israeli government and Knesset.
Several ministers from various countries have called for sanctions against Ben Gvir, while other countries have opted to take different measures such as banning products from settlements.
