Washington Announces Progress with Iran, Pakistani Army Chief, and Qatari Delegation in Tehran

SadaNews - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed on Friday the ongoing discussions with Iran and the meaningful progress being made, without exaggeration, while emphasizing that Washington refuses to accept Tehran imposing fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, warning that agreeing to such a measure would apply to five vital waterways in the world.

The Pakistani Army Chief has arrived in Tehran, and a source in the Pakistani Foreign Ministry told "Al-Araby Al-Jadeed" that Washington and Tehran are not showing enough flexibility on key issues, indicating that the Army Chief's visit may be a last-ditch effort to prevent the region from returning to war.

A knowledgeable source told "Reuters" on Friday that a negotiating team from Qatar arrived in Tehran today in coordination with the United States to assist in reaching an agreement to end the war with Iran and resolve outstanding issues.

The United States intercepted most of the missiles launched by Iran towards Israel during the American-Israeli war against it, according to a report; despite this, satellite images and their analysis showed damage to several Israeli military sites as a result of Tehran's attacks.
