For the First Time Since the Occupation of Jerusalem: Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Carrying "Bread Offerings"

SadaNews - Six settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque this evening, Friday, carrying "bread offerings," after assaulting two of the mosque's guards, in a serious precedent considered the first of its kind since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the settlers forcefully entered the mosque through the Al-Ghawanima Gate and managed to reach the area surrounding the Dome of the Rock, coinciding with widespread incitement from extremist "Temple" groups on the occasion of the so-called Hebrew "Feast of Weeks."

It clarified that this escalation comes in the context of ongoing attempts to impose new realities within Al-Aqsa, accompanied by calls to offer "sacrifices" of both plant and animal types inside the mosque, as part of the efforts of so-called "Temple" groups to entrench biblical rituals and alter its Islamic identity.

Calls and incitement from settler groups to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque intensified on Friday, a day when the mosque is closed to settler incursions in addition to Saturday.
