"Report": Australian Women Linked to ISIS Leave Camp in Syria

SadaNews - The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported today (Friday) that a second group of Australian women and children linked to the extremist group "ISIS" has left a refugee camp in northeastern Syria and is likely to return to Australia.

The agency stated that a bus carrying the group left the Roj camp yesterday afternoon under the guard of a convoy of Syrian government officials. The group is expected to arrive in Damascus, but it is still unclear when they might travel to Australia.

The Australian Department of Home Affairs has not yet responded to a request for comment.

The Australian government previously ruled out providing direct assistance for the return of Australian families linked to the "ISIS" group, but acknowledged that there are "severe restrictions" preventing citizens from returning to the country.

Earlier this month, four women and nine children linked to the organization returned to Australia after spending seven years in detention camps.
