President Receives Delegation of Sheikhs and Notables from Beersheba

SadaNews:  President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received, today Thursday, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, a delegation of sheikhs and notables from Beersheba, in the presence of the head of the Arab Democratic Party, Talab Al-Sani.

The delegation congratulated the president on the successful proceedings of the eighth conference of the Fatah Movement, and his unanimous re-election as president of Fatah, as well as the election of the Central Committee of Fatah and the Revolutionary Council of the movement.

They affirmed that this Palestinian democratic celebration reflects the civilized face of the Palestinian people who are struggling for freedom and independence, while simultaneously insisting on practicing the democratic approach amid these exceptional circumstances.

The president welcomed the delegation of sheikhs and notables from the Negev, emphasizing the importance of strengthening and solidifying brotherly relations among the Palestinian people, both inside and abroad.

He affirmed that despite all the difficult conditions faced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, and the sufferings from the occupation and its aggressions, we remain committed to achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on international legitimacy, to realize the independence of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the borders of 1967.
