Finance Ministry Announces Date for Salary Payments and Launch of Financial App "Yabus"
SadaNews - The Ministry of Finance and Planning announced the disbursement of 50% of the salaries for public sector employees, with a minimum of 2000 Shekels, for the month of February 2026, starting early next week. It also announced the completion of the development of the "Yabus" financial application to enhance the resilience of employees starting next month.
Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Ishtefan Salama reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to the regular payment of salaries at varying rates according to the available resources each month, as outlined in the cash emergency budget, despite the suffocating financial blockade represented by the withholding of clearance funds for the second consecutive year.
Salama emphasized that the top priority now is to provide the minimum of basic services to enhance the resilience of citizens, explaining that this requires enabling public sector employees to continue fulfilling their duties towards their people at this critical moment.
In this context, the Minister of Finance and Planning confirmed the completion of a financial application for smartphones, to enable public sector employees and their families to meet their obligations to electricity, water, and telecommunications service providers at this stage, with plans to expand the range of services in the future.
The Council of Ministers named the new financial application "Yabus," which is set to be launched in a trial phase during June, paving the way for employees and their families to benefit from it. The Ministry of Finance will publish all details related to the use of the application in the coming days.
