Hebrew Channel: Israel Surprised by Trump's Announcement

SadaNews Translation - Channel 12 reported on Tuesday evening that Israel was surprised by U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement regarding Iran.

According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, Israel had no prior coordination concerning Trump's decision to halt the attack on Iran after preparations had been made for it.

The channel stated that Israel learned about the decision at the very last moment, just shortly before the announcement.

Trump said on Monday evening that an attack on Iran was scheduled for the next day (which is today, Tuesday).

He wrote on his social media platform: Serious negotiations are currently taking place regarding Iran.

He noted that the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE requested him to delay the military attack against Iran.

Trump said: The Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE see that an agreement will be reached that is very acceptable to us and to the countries of the Middle East.

He added: The agreement that the leaders believe we will reach will ensure that Iran does not possess any nuclear weapons.

The U.S. President continued: I directed the Pentagon not to carry out the attack that was planned for tomorrow on Iran, in respect for the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the President of the UAE.

He concluded: I directed the Pentagon to remain on standby to launch a comprehensive attack on Iran if we do not reach an acceptable agreement.
